Engadget is reporting that at least one lucky duck did indeed receive their iPad 3G yesterday. Upon reading this I tried really, really hard to be happy for him, but . . .  BAH HUMBUG! Just kidding (kind of). I’m excited to say I will, Fedex willing, be in possession of my iPad by 3pm tomorrow!

I actually read a couple of commenters on different sites yesterday claiming they had their iPad’s and I was quite skeptical, but Engadget has his pictures as proof:

It looks like Facebook will soon join the growing list of iPad compatible sites. Facebook is updating their videos to use the iPhone and iPad’s native H.264-compatible QuickTime player. Looks like one more nail in the coffin for Adobe Flash.

I’m not such a fan of the case on the left but the case on the right with the classic LV look is pretty hot. For $366 these cases are pretty spendy. You can almost get a second iPad for that price. But for those that can afford it this is a fantastic accessory.

iPad order statuses are updating all across the nation to the most beautiful word in the english language: Shipped. Did you get your tracking number? We got ours. It’s like Christmas eve here.

I normally don’t think of the iPad and chocolate going together since sticky fingers leave smudges on that beautiful screen– Wait, who am I kidding? I think everything goes together with chocolate. And apparently I’m not alone there.

The Unboxed team checked this morning and we saw that our iPads are “Prepared for Shipment”. Yay!! In fact, the internet has been abuzz yesterday and today with people sharing that their iPad’s are also “Prepared for Shipment” while others nervously share that there’s shipment status has still not updated. A few people have shared in the comments of this article that they have already received theirs. That seems questionable to me . . .

Anyway, I have to applaud Apple for orchestrating not one, but two separate launches, complete with in store purchase, home deliveries and online orders for in store pickups (for the Wi-Fi only) and so far it looks like everything will go quite smoothly. So far. If I don’t get my iPad delivered by 5:00 pm on Friday when those at the Apple store are buying there’s I’ll be singing a different tune!

Like all of us waiting on our 3G’s I’m just tired of waiting. Leave it to Apple to say “late April” and then deliver the iPad’s on the very last day of April. Amirite?

Is anyone else annoyed with the new AT&T Rethink Possible ads?

As an iPhone (and now iPad) user I feel like an AT&T hostage. I love the equipment and hate the network and I know I’m not alone there. While using the internet on AT&T’s 3G network is good, talking on the phone on their network is painful. And every time I see these new ads all I can think is why are they spending money on these ads when they should be spending money improving their network!!
