It looks like RIM is serious about developing a Blackberry tablet and here’s what we know so far:

• Blackberry had originally planned on developing an Android powered tablet but no longer
• Expected to be designed for the consumer market, not specifically to its core business market
• It will use the Blackberry operating system
• RIM has selected Quanta, in Taiwan, to build the device.
• it’s been pushed out to early next year

There has been a lot of talk from various companies in addition to Blackberry, HP and Google that they will be going after the tablet market, but no one has put there money where there mouth is. Yet.
