No, it isn’t. Yes, it is. No, it isn’t. Yes, it is. No, it isn’t. Tired of this? I am. Since the iPhone’s debut in 2007 there has been constant speculation as to when, not if, Verizon would have the iPhone. This is an iPad blog not an iPhone blog, but I even jumped into the conversation earlier this week, when the speculators pointed their fingers at the iPad as part of the reason for the delayed Verizon iPhone.

Now that I’ve commented on the debate it’s hard to ignore this latest rumor.

CrunchGear reports that marketing company Landor Associates is working on a marketing campaign for the Verizon iPhone HD to be debuting at the end of the summer.

For those who have not followed the conversation here’s a quick recap. AT&T and Apple have been tight lipped on the details of their agreement, but the initial rumor was a 2 year exclusive agreement. However, when two years came and went it was assumed that AT&T had made concessions to appease Apple and extend the agreement. First by increasing the handset subsidies and then by making the iPad data plan flexible and reasonably priced. Then, court documents were turned up showing a five year exclusive deal was originally struck between Apple and AT&T. Whether that agreement is still in place is unknown. And now this. I have no doubt we will continue to hear more and more rumors until Verizon finally does have an iPhone. Whenever that will be.
